Hi, I made this short video with some drawings, music and sounds to get across the harshness and bitterness of the German advance to Moscow through the Rasputitsa. Check it out, tell me what you think. http://vimeo.com/87825867 I'm thinking of doing a few more.
Yea, that would probably help, for the minute though, because I don't have a narrator, I'm just going for the general advance. Splitting into 5-6 parts.
There are so many. I'd like to see a quote from the period appear on the screen, then we might see a couple of your drawings appear related to said quote. Or you can have the date come up with a brief one line description of the situation, then have the images appear. I think it might be quite dramatic. Take a look at this video, at 30 seconds in you'll see an example of the technique. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w1SZRpPGVUk I selected that video because I was recently given a couple books on Operation Bagration and found the battle compelling, so that's where my current interest lays. It a commonly overlooked operation, especially when compared to Stalingrad/Kurks/Berlin. As a documentary it isn't the best out there, but there is a lot of gloss, so it's good as a model for creating an impact on the viewer, which is what I think your goal is.
