Working on a WWII related book project and I am seeking to find surviving members of the following units. Any suggestions? 32nd FA 60th Canon Company 272nd FA Battalion, 240mm E & F Company, 2nd Battalion, 349th Regiment, 88th Infantry Battery K, 4th Battalion, 12th Marines, 3rd Marine Division 81mm Mortar Platoon, 1st Battalion, 26th Marines, 5th Marine Division C Company, 1st Battalion, 9th Marines, 3rd Marine Division 35th Infantry Division
From past experience: 1) Try any internet web sites for each unit and run down any names/addys from there. 2) Get info on any past alumni reunions and run down the attendees. 3) Desperation long shots that work more often than you think - obtain names and addresses of unit members from period documents - enlistment records, etc. and then hit yellow pages .com. 4) Search obituaries for names of unit members, take what info you can get - sometimes you will find guest book entries.
