My name is Hugh and I am a 60 year old Kiwi expat currently living in Florida. I am interested in pretty much everything to do with WWII (always have been) and have some questions for those of you more knowledgeable than I am about small arms from that era, specifically one of the Lee Enfield rifles. I'll post that in the appropriate forum later, lets get the introductions taken care of first. My username could probably be mistaken for something to do with the Vietnam war, "Charlie" and "vc" I believe were both common terms used by the men who fought there. However, it has nothing to do with that time period. It refers to a specific person whom I have the utmost respect for. The late Sir Charles Hazlitt Upham, a Captain who served with the New Zealand army in Crete and North Africa and was awarded the Victoria Cross twice for valor. I believe he still remains, to this day, the only combat soldier to ever receive the award twice. Hence my username "charlievcx2" Anyway, enough rambling from me. I am looking forward to getting to know you all and picking your brains for information. Thanks for having me here.
