Hi, My name is Gerry and I am a 63 year old grandmother who , now in retirement, has lots of time to enjoy my passion for history especially WW2. I can't remember when history wasn't "my thing". I have Polish/Lithuanian roots so I seem to have a natural interest in the Eastern Front. With Google Earth I can explore the Eastern landscape at street level which is awesome. I can see the tread marks of the tanks and follow them into the Battle of Kursk. I can wander around Stalingrad/Volgograd and see the vestiges of horror and heroism. And with Google Earth I can do so much more. This looks like a terrific site and I am very happy to be here. I look forward to reading and learning. Thank you all for this opportunity.
