    Hi there,
I'm researching a strange coincidence. My father, uncle and aunt, three siblings, met up in North Africa during WW2, my father with the Seaforth Highlanders, my uncle with the RAF and my aunt nursing. This has led me to all sorts of facts but I'm still missing some, so hope that someone here can fill in some of the gaps for me. I joined an RAF forum and the members there were so helpful regarding my uncle, I'm hoping those here will prove just as helpful.
Looking forward to "meeting" you all.
    Christine

    Hi, Lesley,
Sounds like our fathers may have something in common - North Africa and Italy at least. I've just posted a query in the genealogy section, as I'm particularly looking at 1943.
My father was in the Seaforths, and while I have a lot of records about him, I'm missing almost a year, the year he met both his brother and his sister in North Africa before being captured in Italy.

    Hi, Profligate,

Yes it always struck me as such a coincidence that the three of them, in difference branches of the services, should meet up like that. And of course you don't think about it until it's too late to talk about it with them. At least it's given me an occupation in my retirement.
