My name is Ron and I live in Boston. I am a Viet Nam vet and my father was a world war II vet in the Navy. Saw action in the European theatre. He would tell me a lot of different stories regarding some of the actions that he was involved in. He was involved in the Normandy invasion. I joined this forum because I have questions to ask regarding WW II. One of them is this. If the Germans had won world war II, what would have happened to their allies the Japanese. Germany was exterminating any people or races they felt were inferior to them. I wonder if they had felt that way about the Japanese being inferior also and I'm sure the Japanese didn't trust the Germans as well. I asked my father this question but he didn't really have a clue as to what might have happened then. This is just an imaginary scenario but does pose an interesting outcome of the war. If anyone has any possibilities as to this please let me know. Thanks

Good question in my opinion. Ive heard that Hitler had a list of ALL countries made up - with a decision to each as to what would happen to them once the "German Empire" had succeeded. Australia was to be given back to the (White) population as they were of northern European stock and educated and capable of continuing to run the country. (The Aboriginals were classed "unfit for slave labour" and were to be exterminated!)
As to the Japanese? I think both thought themselves superior...from memory Germany most certainly had plans to firstly share then ultimately take over Japan as well...

Nazi germany did not protest or claim french indo-china in june 1940 when Japan made its way into occupying it for Japan.
So despite Nazi Germany basically looking down on the japanese * (as did the british), there were no plans on removing japanese influence sphere in Asia from anything remotely of interest to the germans (bismark islands, chinese kiatsu, etc.), or what japan took from british (HK, malaya) and dutch (Indies) and french compadres.
(Nazi) Pragmatism ruled the senses here.

Perhaps if UK /commonwealth made peace immediately in 1940 the german stance would have been different towards Japan in dec 1941 (versus Australia) , but being involved in struggle with the SU again the Germans would have no time for a Pacific policy.

    * i think it is important to realise that not all nazis are the same in thinking and acting, as in: there are the ones dealing with its ideology and purity of NatSoc and making laws for it (national and in occupied areas) , and those that are active in diplomacy and realise what can and what can't be achieved in the interest of Nazi Germany.

As to the German opinion on the Japanese, Hitler had bestowed upon them the status of honorary Aryans in 1936, due to their racial purity.

"Pride in one's own race – and that does not imply contempt for other races – is also a normal and healthy sentiment. I have never regarded the Chinese or the Japanese as being inferior to ourselves. They belong to ancient civilizations, and I admit freely that their past history is superior to our own. They have the right to be proud of their past, just as we have the right to be proud of the civilization to which we belong. Indeed, I believe the more steadfast the Chinese and the Japanese remain in their pride of race, the easier I shall find it to get on with them." --Adolph Hitler
