well, the Pope gave his usual Christmas message--asking for peace....as they have done year after year, after year after year.....but the reality is, there will never be peace...the humans murder, rape, war, etc.....as they always have and always will....

not trying to be positive or negative here...just stating what everyone here should know.....each person can control his own 'spirit'....why not have a 'Merry' Christmas?.....when people say ''have a good weekend'', I say, ''how about I have a good life''? not just a good weekend....
but as I read the news this week, I see many that cannot control their ''lives''....events, timing, ''creation'' has ''forced'' them into where they are....

roger, ..I did not detect any offense.....in your thread, or this Indiana-Duke football game I am watching
we have rain here....I don't think I've ever heard thunder in December........ahhh 17 - 17 at halftime,...with some terrible defense and bad calls
may I wish everyone an 'individual' peace........
some people have personal 'mental' wars....some surrender, some attack the problems....

Jed Clampett used to always say "seasons greetings" in the Beverly Hillbillies Christmas episode. Never knew what that meant when I was a kid. Mom said that he was just being nice to people who didn't celebrate Christmas like most everyone did. Man that really got things all twisted up in my 6 year old mind and reasoning process. What, no way! Who in the hell didn't believe in Santa Claus! Commies that's what!

Rather pessimistic outlook IMO. There will be peace on earth, maybe not until the sun expands somewhat beyond the Earths current orbit but it will come.

Since it's after Christmas: Happy New year and/or whatever holidays you celebrate in the future.
