Human nature, the law of the jungle, envy. You guys mention testosterone, but the ladies can get violent too. One other essential factor is education.

that is applicable to (motivation of) leaders/managers. Still individuals.

In more broader sense i'd say: territorialism and developing (on one hand) and avoiding (other hand) influencing.

If you're pissing anywhere in the park it is not my concern, if you are pissing in MY garden , you are violating my territory (and are disrespectful to me), but when I yell at you to stop and piss somewhere else, "or else.." you feel I try to get a hold on you and limit your freedom.
    A minor conflict is born.

but men commit over 85% of murders...I think that is too big a number, to disregard...I posted on yahoo, when people say they can't understand how fathers can kill their kids, [along with the ex ]..[ or that moms do the same ]...I said it was simple to understand..<>males get violent/angry/etc...and when they lose everything [ their family ], the are going to ''attack''/strike to stop the pain/revenge/etc...
then, if they are going to kill the ex and themselves, they don't want the kids to live with that....I would think in some of the fights between females, they have more male genetics

I think right there is the issue with a lot of things: Arbitrary disrespect.

Everyone gets wrapped up in the "or else..." I don't care if someone takes a leak on my lawn, its just a lawn. Are you going to beat them up for doing it?....are you going to brandish a fire arm to prevent it?......are you going to call the police and make a citizen's arrest?.....or are you just going to hose it off?

Everybody wants to be a gangster until it comes time to be a gangster or pay the piper for your actions.

    Exactly.

And it is precisely the "or else" (?WTF; just ask nicely!), from one party, combined with the blatant disregard for normal protocol (Don't piss in the park; kids play there, don't piss in other people's property, it's crude) from the other party, and hey presto.

It might not be a big issue when one individual pisses on the lawn, but it is disrespectful of the owner of the property, and people around, and when it becomes a pissing corner for the entire town's drunks, it isn't a case of just "hosing it off".

My solution for people that refuse when asked to refrain from urinating in such situations, is a mild nudge. Enjoy the rest of your evening.

this is the Arizona Walmart brawl between a family of idiots and the police....it seems like it never stops...reminds of the ape battle on the movie 2001 A Space Odyssey....human apes in confllct....it goes on and on....and then someone rolls into the scene from out of nowhere...almost funny....once you think it's over, some other human craziness happens
I know alcohol impairs human reasoning, but I don't think that's the case here....a lot of the conflicts are because of initial attitudes..is it not common, for a lot of males, to get defensive, when ''confronted'' by other males?? even if the other males, ie the police, are not even initially aggressive, or mean no harm?
also, I think it should be legal to fire warning shots in a case like this...the police showed great restraint here....
