I probably should have noticed that this occurred last year. Sorry about that :(

    Compelling viewing.

Kept under wraps for 70 odd years for poliitical reasons.

I saw some pictures of Alfred Hitchcock in a book many years ago, remembered he was involved with that filming and have always wondered if this gave him a great deal of insight for his creation later of very successful horror films. The pictures depicted a horror to me that will never be forgotten by me. I have always thought that all libraries should have those early pictures and films by him and others, so everyone could be familiar with the things that were done to the victims, and deniers could see the photographic evidence.

The way I read it in one of his biographies Hitch was contacted and asked how best to film the camps so that there may be no doubt that the images were real and not a special effect.

Even in 1945 the war department was worried that the holocaust was so dreadful and unimaginable that Americans would not be able to admit such horrors.
