It's interesting to visit Gawker, which is fractionally better than Jezebell.
It pains me to read how people want a cop to shoot the little toe off an attacker. Or taze the crazy ass into complete submission.
There are plenty of youtube videos where a tazer does nothing to incapacitate some dudes. Even bullets don't stop some attacks. Look at Suge Knight/ 50 cent.
Gawker is full of commentors who probably have never faced a very dangerous situation. They don't live in shitty neighborhoods next door to someone who is a dirtbag (and secretly wish dirtbag would get shot)... They don't face day to day stressful situations, then comment online how repressive the cops are, and how guns are bad, how the polar bears suffer under Man Made Global Warming.

Body cams. Cops will hate it, but would save their job/city when it is crunch time.
Darren Wilson body cam would have prevented a lot of grief and rioting. ..Thinking the existing video of the thug robbing the store would be enough to convince everyone who the bad guy was.

And the perp will still be "allegedly" comitting a crime despite direct visual eveidence....Insults my intelligence everytime they say this...Innocent until proven guilty is an ugly way of dealing with the law...is supposes you are a good person, incapable of commiting the crime at hand...and the prosecutions goes about destroying that person's reputation to prove guilt...wouldnt it be better to assume guilt, and the DEFENCE has to prove they werent there, wouldnt do it, doesnt have the prior reputation for doing it etc etc...Especially for crimes where the person is on CCTV or found with the murder weapon or stolen goods etc etc...Any lawyer will tell you its all a game, the innocent and guilty dont win, the lawyers do, who ever plays the game the best gets the clients and money...nothing to do with right or wrong, guilty or innocent...or justice...and the lady out the front has a blind fold on! She's had that blindfold off for years!

Problem with Guilty until proven innocent is innocent people would be caught up in such system and suffer greatly due to it. Not only could such a system be a risk to a persons life but in turn innocents once freed could lay on some massive law suits.

On the subject of shootings, Body cams, Cams on every size of the car, etc etc, Don't care if the cops hate it, Just as people shouldn't fear cops if they haven't committed a crime neither should cops fear the cameras if they are going to stay above board doing what they are meant to do and only reacting with force appropriate to the situation.

Would help to weed out the bad egg's in the police departments and fingers crossed shine the police under a new light that the public would find more welcoming. Would also make cases against criminals more solid with visual evidence.

Poppy, CAC, I don't think cams will even help....as CAC says, no matter what, the families and 'people' of the criminals cannot process information correctly and/or refuse to accept they are wrong even if they are on video....I have seen firsthand the culture of the ''people''...and it is like culture everywhere as I've said before, my father never directly taught me punctuality, orderliness, don't steal, etc, but I learned those concepts from him doing those things, or not doing the bad stuff....and maybe the genes have something to do with it...when these ''criminals'' are kids, their culture molds them--generally speaking....you sometimes have kids with great upbringing that go bad
and as I've said before, even when someone knows they did something ''wrong'', and they get called for it, they get angry, and resent it, no?? I do it sometimes, but then I realize, hey, I am wrong...and I don't riot!

what are your thoughts on this video? supposedly some white couple and an black ex-cop were in an argument, and then this happens! the headlines do not say ''black cop punches white man then shoots him'', but ''ex-cop harassed by couple shoots them''''...if people weren't dying, the media would be so funny..they are priceless and so shallow

Absent fathers don't teach anything to their kidlets.
    Kids need nuclear families.

let me tell you, it's hard enough to raise kids with 2 parents...if there are 2, 3, or 4 kids with one parent, usually the single parent doesn't have enough time, or money, to spend with the kids, teaching them correctly....sure, some single parents do fine, but if they don't have the correct 'knowledge' and maturity, it's not good at all

Women are the best teachers and nurturers...its when (the boy) reaches about 9 or 10, mothers influence wains...ThIs....is when a male becomes interested...he needs to initiate this boy into manhood...get him married/mated and must teach him to provide for himself and a mate...interestingly environments can dictate when this process happens....some tribes may begin initiations very early...the girls begin to menstruate at an early age...today, in this environment, so sophisticated and difficult...has been put back to 18 in our culture...and yet...girls are trending towards early sexual maturity again...what's happening in society to trigger this? Interesting answers....

The sexualisation of youth by business and now even the parents (allowing a 3 year old to wear a g string/thong) is certainly at the heart of it...

as stated by many in this thread and others, kids having kids is the base problem..they see sex on tv a lot..Bundes, I agree...if you have watched these music awards shows, it's almost like a sexual demonic horror show!...they just can't get up there and sing a song...and the kids are watching and imitating this..and you see this on these music videos... I enjoy watching the videos of the hot babes in the nothing there outfits....but it is not for kids....
.of course, this can be offset by good parents...but the sex media does influence a lot of youngsters....
now, everyday I've been seeing all kinds of criminal crap from the minority group, as usual.....Obama has really dropped the ball on the police shootings subject....some leader needs to stand up for what is right!

@ CAC: Man, I am with you on this, I am totally amazed to see girls of maybe 14-16 walk around as they are 20 already....however you can easily overestimate their age, because even the young ones seem like to look "sexy". or they don´t care at all, they just imitate what they get from TV and youth media etc. Also they all have phones and stuff, some piercings etc. I don´t care about piercings, but can they not wait for this until they are older. I also understand that many young men might be fooled by this and try to get the hot girls - which might be underage in reality...so they could commit a crime there unknowingly.... even more strange that the parents go along with this.

@ bronk7: Agreed with you too. I don´t have TV or radio (as neither time nor use for it) but when I see some TV stuff eg. on youtube I am amazed that people are actually watching this. Whow these star/VIP/talent/jungle/model shows are so fucking strange and dumb... Which reminds me I know some cool parodies of such shows, which actually was on TV lol. Like Heidi Klum searching the super modell etc. lol
