Just realized may be a very old story due to the fact the ship mention in the story was decommissioned quite a few years ago (2008).

The Ozzie in the OP article already tried and failed. It might take as many 3 or even 4 Ozzies to take Hawaii. If you can muster that many sober Ozzies and point them all in the same direction you could probably pull it off.
