Check the link in #14, there was no runner up. It was a rumour according to ESPN...But do not agree with the award being issued to BJ (ha, that's funny). And the amount of photo-shopping in that picture is complete propaganda, even for a war website accustomed. Want to see the man hands, untucked genitals, wrinkles. Thinking Bruce had TV whispering in his ear about how awesome he is. People who watch his show, are looking for a car accident (oh yeah, he killed someone) rather than some feel good, enlightening bs. Posted a while back about how cartoons sometimes seem to tune in to future events. Art imitates life kind of thingy. Anyhoo, another synchronicity from Family Guy, maybe 6-7 years ago?: Bruce at sea https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ONhilhZlBpo
Bottom line, this is all on the heels of his TV show. Which makes me wonder. I could care less that he did this...to each his own. I find it irritating that the media has been all over this and every morning I get in the car, head to work and this is the top story. Since when did reporting the news and social media been the same thing.
Yes, the dumbing down of the Western Empire. Who watches that stuff. All that money could be going into interesting educational PBS type of stuff. But nooo.
not that I don't like it, but the media shows a lot of girl action....especially the DM....and the stuff they 'wear' -not...
Life imitating art or art imitating life... Wonder when her book is coming out. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-VJOFomnZ0I 68 year old women are mostly invisible in hollywood...But BJ, wow- look at you - go girl. Just couldn't watch his part on the espys. It made me sick. This is about money, not some moral argument.
Ok...I am officially confused. On one hand, the media is telling me that Bruce Jenner pretending to be a woman is acceptable. However, the media is telling me to be revolted that Rachel Dolezal pretending to be black Damn you CNN!
See how "understanding" Tur is towards Shapiro...People are getting "beat up" as Bruce stated. If you don't agree, you may "go home in an ambulance". https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZLcsZe0vRZ8
Ha. Ben Shapiro is going to press charges against the guy who grabbed his neck and threatened him. The hypocrisy dispayed by trans dude Zoey is so apparent, but all the other panelists were completely oblivious to it. This is Ben on his show the next day. Great listening and has the ring of truth to it: http://icestream.bonnint.net/seattle/kiro/2015/07/benshapiro071715_1_800.mp3
Okay, here is a question. If I were to identify myself as a woman, should I then be able to compete in women's athletics? If I see myself as a woman, then should you too? How about if I decide that I am policeman, should I be able to proceed with my life as though I am one? "The entire discussion is whether we are embracing mental illness and delusion as a society." Ben Shapiro held his ground.
Sad thing is in today's culture Zoey Tur could try to sue Shapiro for saying "Sir" and probably win. That case would make headlines not the Assault and Battery.
Unlikely. Based on individual merit...The voice alone is a dead giveaway...Not to mention looks. It does not sound feminine and it does not look feminine I'd call her sir too. Just because one has "breasts" does not make her feminine.
I'm appalled that Jeff's not a transblack policewoman. The internet can give such false impressions of people... I had never heard of this Jenner person until a few weeks ago. Strikes me as wise to pay the vacuous self-absorbed fathermother of the self-absorbed and vacuous no more mind, since publicity is apparently the entire sum total of their career. Look at me! Don't look at me! Look at me! Don't look at me! Repeat ad nauseam.
There was a girl, named Lauren Hill, who went to a college in the suburbs of Cincinnati who was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor last year and was expected not to live till December or November of last year. Instead she hung on till April of this year, and during the months preceding her death she became a huge inspiration for those suffering similar cases like her by displaying her courage and not being afraid. Her battle with cancer became nationally known when NCAA allowed her college to play their first game two weeks before the original date of the game so that Lauren could play. She also raised over $1 million for pediatric cancer research. when it was announced that Bruce/Caitlyn Jenner would be receiving the Arthur Ashe award, there was an uproar in our area. To me what Caitlyn/Bruce was inspirational in a way, but as someone mentioned earlier in this thread it was a disappointment that Caitlyn/Brice was given the award over a veteran and in my local area it was a major disappointment that she/he received it over Lauren.
Yeah, inspiration to not be a frigging freak. Other than that he/she/it is a waste of humanity. Yes, that's how I really feel about it. Oh, the cooler you say, over here, through that door, thank you!
"never heard of this Jenner person" You are shirley being facetious...Never heard of Bruce Jenner? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bruce_Jenner
