My name is Vicki, originally from the Philly area but have lived in northern VA for 6 years. I became interested in WW2 after reading "Unbroken" 6 months ago. I've been devouring personal memoirs, and watch documentaries on a daily basis. I just visited the D-Day Memorial in Bedford, VA for the first time: absolutely fantastic, very informative 45 min. tour. The highlight of my passion for everything WW2 happened last week when I attended a "Freedom Fest" event in Lynchburg,VA and met and spoke with about 10 veterans. Many shared some personal stories. I'm excited to be part of this forum and continue to learn more. I have a special interest in the Pacific Theatre, personal memoirs, B-17 stories and the Navy.
