    Hello all,
My name is Steve (fathers history). I am the son of a WW2 infantry man who i'm sure like most of you had a father who didn't talk about his experiences and I didn't ask. I have over the years gathered some info but would really like to find out the where's and when's of his military service. I know it is a rich legeacy to pass on to my children and grandchildren. I would like to thank you all in advance for all of the collective knowledge I am to become privy to.

Post what you want. Separation paper, pictures, letters, and anything else will help. We're friendly and will do our best to help. What unit was he with?
    BTW, welcome to the forum.

Thanks for the welcome. Should I continue to post to this thread or begin another one in a different location?

    Welcome to the Forum, Steve.

The Forum is divided up into sections and subsections. Ideally, you should try to find the one that best fits the subject you wish to discuss. That will increase the likelihood that those with the interest and knowledge regarding your question will see it and respond.

Also, don't forget to use the Search function before you post to see if the topic already exists. Even if it doesn't answer your question, posting to an existing topic helps avoid redundancy and makes things easier to find.
