    1. Bingo
    2. Never even heard of it. Thanks for the warning.
    3. Should have stopped at toilet suicide.
    4. See #2 above
    5. Once is more than enough for anyone.
    6. Heard of it. Never had an inclination to see it. I'll take your word and continue to avoid it.
    7. Too much todo was made over it. Made me have to think twice about watching and I never got around to that second thought.
    8. I though it was pretty good being what it was intended to be, a send-up of 1930s gangster films.
    9. They just tried too hard to edgy Boring and monotonous.
    10. You could have stopped at "Any Tarantino movie."
    11. I kept looking for wheelchairs and walkers.
    12. Not seen it. Not really took the opportunity to do so. But then, I not much of a Chaplin fan to begin with.

Give it a run sometime. Be sure you have preloaded yourself with a handful of PBRs first, though, to set the mood. As I have gotten older, I've come to realize that Gleason made that movie, even though at the time it seemed to be all Reynolds and Fields. In Gleason's light, they are just shadows.

If he going to see those two, he might as well stay for the midnight feature, Animal House.

He'll blow a fuse for sure now.

Might as well watch Caddy Shack now. Then follow that up with a dose of Let It Ride. After all that, he'll be leary of American movies from here on out.

OK, I might watch it if possible. Since I wouldn't categorize myself as a "redneck" either, I still might not like it though... ;-)

I don't "idealize" "The English Patient". I just think it's a great movie - every time I see it!

    "PBR"?

Seen that. It was medium funny - once. Wouldn't be interested to see it again though... ;-)

There was a time when a typo like that could have caused considerable problems in some places. I'm sure Historian can tell us in detail the impact of being labeled a Papist could have on one 2 or 3 hundred years ago.

You won't have to go back 2 or 3 hundred years ago to experience the perils of being labeled a Papist in some parts of the country. Check out the video at the 1:36 mark concerning the reference to Papists. Go ahead a watch the whole video as well, it's pretty funny. So is the movie.

Yeah it ranks hight in my all time movie favorites. Normally I'm not a George Clooney fan at all, but he does do comedy pretty good, at least in Oh Brother, Where Art Thou. Didn't fully appreciate it the first time I saw it when it hit the theaters, but the second and third time really got to me. Seen it many dozen times not, and it never gets old.

I thought that George Clooney did a good job in In the Air too. Don't really care for his politcs at all though.

Couldn't agree more with you on Clooney. I'm not a fan at all, but he did a great job of playing a guy who tries to sound smarter than he actually is.

I was tempted to post another clip, but thought it might be better to steer back to the topic...

Not a big fan of Titanic. The movie, not the ship.

"10. Any Tarantino movie that isn't Pulp Fiction or Jackie Brown. The guy has a teenager's view of the world and he parodies himself constantly."

Inglorious Basterds is a movie with fantastic actors but the story is ridiculous. Even if it is intended as a parody, you just need a reasonable plot to enjoy watching it.

Both Matrix sequels are horrible, confusing and boring.

Jurassic Park is a great movie for one hour. Then these two kids are screaming and whining all the time and you can only watch it with the speakers switched off.

Music I liked makes me think of another best/worst movie. It didn't win critical acclaim but I thought it was a decent movie. Johnny Depp-"Public Enemies". Otis Taylor, "Ten Million Slaves".

Not great in my estimation, but solid and much better than I thought it would be. Afraid it would be a 'vanity project' where Dillinger somehow got away.
