HI... I am new to this forum and hoping there may be someone out there who may help me out. I recently acquired an amazing collection of WWII items...most relating to the USS San Jacinto ship from 3 May 44 - 14 Sept 45. The collection is far too extensive to list here...but very briefly they include original (not copies) of photographs from the warship...many 8 x 10's...the book "a Short history of the USS San Jacinto"...many, many documents from the ship, from names of the fighting squadron...restricted details of the Invasion of Saipan...(among others...), Japanese propaganda fliers...The Big "T" newspaper (Volume 1), San Jac Sun publication (restricted paper), original patch from fighter squadron VF-49 who flew F6F Hellcats, 'sortie' patches for China/American pilots, etc., etc., as well as two scale models of American and German tanks for training purposes...several medals, etc., etc. I have yet to go through everything and it is quite overwhelming for someone like myself who is no where near an authority on these items. If there is anyone in the forum who may be able to advise on the USS Jacinto, I would sure like to hear from you. Thanks in advance. Steve
Thanks YugoslavPartisan...I am just now starting to read the literature and will post a few pics shortly. So much to go through!!
Yeah...Cannuck. We sent you all that snow last week I think... I have a lot of questions...but need to be able to post a few pictures, but having difficulty. I am pretty much computer illiterate. If you or any others out there can send me a step by step 'click and post' solution, it would be greatly appreciated.
Does anyone here have any knowledge regarding 'to scale' tank silhouettes, used for training purposes...I have a pair...one german, one American.
At the bottom right, click on More Reply Option. It should expand the reply window. Bottom left, click "Choose Files" and a Windows Explorer window should open. Navigate to the location where you have the photos. There is a size limit on the file size, but not necessarily on the photo dimensions, You can attach multiple files Place your cursor in the reply box where you want a thumbnail of each photo to be and click "Add to Post" on the right. Naw, we missed that mess. Conditions were right for the snow to hit Mississippi, Tennessee, and Georgia, but thankfully not us.
