Wasn't allowed to post in forum news section. Join me in saluting G's efforts here, and wishing him good tidings. One of my all time favourite dudes here...Worldly, kind and knowledgeable - cheers G, hope you stick around for years to come.
Sorry, as usual a day late and a dollar short. But, HAPPY BIRTHDAY Gaines. You are a true Southern Gentleman.
Well last year I could say I was three quarters of a century old, this year it is OVER 3/4 of a century, Jeff is right. just another year but happy to be here. What a delight to come here and see all these well wishes. My Jack Russell chewed up my pricy hearing aids but my sweet wife of 52 yeas bought me a wireless headphone set so I can hear as well asds see the TV, what a revelation !! There was dialogue!! Now I can begin to figure out what is going on on Inspector Lewis and Foyle's War My only WW2 recollection was having air raid exercises. Mom and dad cut the lights out and we sat in the hall to the all clear. Later we laughed about how could a bomb drop on Selma, Alabama then still later after growing up a bit we realized with this tiny glimpse, how many millions of people hear sirens as a prelude to sheer horror....all we did was play games. Thanks to all of you here, I haven't posted as much as I would like because believe it or not I am busier than ever at work, who would have guessed it but I love my work and will continue until it is physically not possible or people quit asking. I belong to many forums on many subjects but this is genuinely my favorite. I like the International quality of it, many views. of this world we all share. With one exception I have had a great life , got to travel all over and found you guys and gals. A real pleasure. Warmly, Gaines
As usual, I'm posting after your response, but Happy Birthday anyway. Your contributions here are always thoughtful and well reasoned. It's nice to enjoy your work enough that you're kept busy. Have a good day.
My wishes are late, but sincere. I hope the year brings you much happiness and laughter... Belated Happy Birthday to you, Gaines.
