Hello Mr. Reif. Your service sounds like you were all over. Any pictures or reminiscences you'd care to share?

Any connection to a much appreciated teller of tales on ww2talk who went under the name of Hoolig ?

Best regard from Ron (who has a foot in both camps)

Welcome to the Forum, Bert. We're always pleased and honored to have a WWII Veteran as a member. We Americans use the title "Mr." as a sign of respect. We are, of course, happy to use a more familiar form of greeting.

I'll honor your request, but I won't like it. I'm a Southerner;it is ingrained in us to honor men who have earned the title.

Bert or Hoolig it will be. Welcome, good man!

It does indeed feel awkward to use Bert rather than something more formal, but I'll go with Bert as requested.

Your profile now indicates that you are a WWII Veteran.

We are honoured and pleased to have you join.
