Hello folks, newbie here. My uncle served valiantly in WW2 and has 3 purple hearts. To me it was the last great noble war that was fought(if any war can be called that). Glad to be here:).

I would have liked to have heard his stories also but unfortunately even when he was alive he never would finish the stories. I know when he got into his diebetic spells he would roll around under the table like he was running for cover and yell the name LOU everytime. I always wondered who lou was. maybe it was someone he couldnt save:(.

My uncle was fearless though. I remember once he was dared to walk on the ledge of a building and he actually did it. He then was lucky enough to fall into a big bush and only broke a leg. A few months before he passed away i remembered him having a 32 year old girlfriend and he was in his late seventies early eighties. You could always tell him apart from the others as he always had his trousers pulled up extra high and he was always laughing.

The stories he really like to talk about was how happy the french women were to be liberated hehe.
