Private (First Class) Robert Leigh shows off an array of captured German weapons during the Battle of the Bulge. As well as his own rifle, he carries three MP40 machine pistols and two MG42 machine guns. The Americans were so impressed with the MG42 that it formed the basis for their own M60 machine gun, produced after the war.
