I come from a Family of history buffs who I have finally passed up in military history knowledge, and I am looking to expand that knowledge by joining this forum. I also have a photographic memory, so just feed me the information and I'll learn it all.

language study I have taught myself Greek (koine or first century Greek) I am working on German. as I reenact a ww2 German Officer, Russian French and Italian interest me as well. My High school Text book Komm Mit has some excerpts of Hitlers speeches. that really surprized me. on the battlefield we try to speak German. but I kind of need a tutor. as the particular things a Chaplain would ask a soldier are not found in phrase books.
Hello, i'm Jeffrey, 17, i'm doing a one year special military education where you can choose to work 6 weeks in the Army or the Navy, i've choosen Army ofcourse  after this school year i'm trying to get my Leopard2a6 license and drive it, later on i'm hoping on a job as tankcommander. I'm interested in modern armor, and WWII (armor), since about 2 weeks ago i feel the need to know everything about german tanks, and tankdivisions and things like that, really interesting. Hope to learn lots from all of you!
Hi Jeffrey We already met in the modelling section. I was surprised to see that you're about my age... looks nice. Didn't know we can sign up for the militairy for six weeks in Holland. You should tell me all about it! And don't you worry about that learning about Germany's tanks and divisions, we'll get you up and running in a short while. Start reading "tanks in ww2 section" Cheerio PP
Hi guys, I joined about a month ago but have only just noticed this 'intoduce yourself' bit, sorry for delay I'm Shearwater, originaly from the Isle of Man (between Britain and Northern Ireland), 30s, now studying for an MSc in Environmental Health and Management in the UK. Have been interested in AFVs especially WWII tanks for a long time but I am cut off from my armour reference books while away from home. You guys give me my 'tank fix' and keep one of my hobbies alive. I had no idea that Roel and PM were so young, if I might say so, you both come across as much more mature than your years (I mean that as a compliment!). This is an excellent site and I hope it continues to be educational and entertaining for many years.
