It's a British tank, but not one of Hobart's Funnies, and not designed for exploding mines. Please do look it up! :D

I´ll have to guess. But I know it wasn´t the Matilda, so I´ll go for the Churchill.

Wrong again! Sorry. Imagine the Churchill having more bottom armour than front, so more than 152mm facing downward... :-?

    Hint time

I think it's time for a hint. Light, crusier or infantry tank? Crazy Brits, bottom armor thickest, what were they thinking...

A hint... All right. It never carried more than a two-pounder QF gun. Let's keep it a bit foggy here.

Nope, that one had 14mm front and only 7mm bottom armour.
Is it really that hard? I never would have thought so.

Another hint... It was first built in November 1940. Total production was 177 units, but it was actually used in combat.
This should really be enough, you guys should be ashamed of yourselves :D

It has to be the Tetrarch. I have no idea on where its armour was thickest, but it fits every hint you´ve made and it was used in action during the invasion of Madagascar.

    Tetrarch!

 I am ashamed. It must be the Tetrarch. So the 14mm armor was on the bottom! Only the Brits!

Exactly! Thank you Skua, for this input... You have won our first Nonsense Knowledge award and get to pose the next useless question!
The Light tank Mk.VII Tetrarch, an airborne tank which could be transported by a Hamilcar glider, had 14mm armour on the bottom because its relatively high ground clearance made it vulnerable to magnetic mines. Other parts of the tank had 4-10mm armour.

Well, thank you Roel. :) I´ll make the Nonsense Knowledge Award into a special rank and wear it with pride.

I will now present the next useless question :

Which British tank, of which the Poles had only one, saw action with the Poles during the German invasion in 1939 ?

Just a guess: the six-ton Vickers light tank.

No, they had plenty of those. Nor is it any of these Carden-Loyd tankettes. The Poles had only one example of the tank I´m looking for.

The Matilda I? I'm afraid I am no sure of which tanks were already in service by then.

Right on ! Yes, the Poles had received one Matilda I for evaluation when the Germans invaded, at it was used in combat against them. Not very successfully though, as the only evidence of its service is a picture of it with its turret blown off.

    Your turn again.

That's nasty! Well, what can you expect from a mobile MG...

    Okay, my turn it is.
This is the only full series of tanks of WW2, having specimens from 1939 through 1945, which had its drive sprocket installed to the rear.
