USMC Infantry, rode around in some APCs, and crawled into a few tanks, but I gather that's not what you were looking for?
Armor involvement I was a turret rat. that is turret artillery repairman 708th Maint BN 8th infantry Division (mechanized) I worked on M60 tanks in the ARMY AND m48a5S IN THE ARMY NATIONAL GUARD 108th Spt Bn C co 33rd bde ILARNG thats the upgraded M48 the Army equipped NG Divisions with everything the M60 tank had 105 mm main gun computers etc.
The closest I came to weaponry and the such are my hunting rifles. (Unless you count swords, spears, and bow and arrows as weapons of today). However, Im thinking of joining the air force soon.
Good for you desertwolf, hope you do better than me ( I´m apparently colourblind ). Are they still flying those Mirage F-1s in Morocco ?
US Army; I was TOW & Dragon guided anti-tank missile repair. Also done some training in anti-tank tactics, etc.
Ex Boys Brigade (but I don't like to talk about it) Like Skua, the other sea-bird with clipped wings, my colourblindness was discovered when I joined up with the airforce. Me dad was in the Grenadier Guards and passed on the interest in military matters.
Same here... Not in the army yet, but next year i'm starting my ''leopard2a6'' career, starting of as a driver.
Yeah, damn those regulations. They wouldn´t let me fly an F-16 just because I couldn´t tell red from green. Talk about nonsense !
Flight instructor: "Are you ready to take off into the wide blue yonder cadet?" Cadet Shearwater:"It's Blue?"
post subject you should not make jokes about colour blindness, if the person who wrote one of the best songs of WW2 had been colour blind we might have had -----"Green birds over, The Pink cliffs of Dover"
