Actually it's a CV 3, but you got the gun right.
In 1937, the Nationals were to arm 40 CV3 with the Breda 20mm "legionaria" machinegun, but several Panzer IA were armed with the Breda, being much better, with the idea of arming later those panzers with 37mm guns.
With the capture of so much soviet armored vehicles (with bigger cannons) to the republicans, the project was abandoned.

Curiously, i've found this same picture (after scanning it from a book) on several webpages misidentifying it as a CV33, while in all "paperpages" it's a CV 3 or CV 3/35.

    Your turn, Patrice.

In all Spanish documents relating to it, it's called Fiat CV-3, chassis number 2694.
And the gun was a Breda M-35 20/65, chosen by nationality and armor piercing capabilities, good enough against the T26. Was preferred over the german Flak-30 due to lower number moving parts and smaller space taken inside the vehicle.

Is is an early prototype of the (American) Amtrac series of Amphibious landing vehicles, configured for infantry support with a multiple mg turret?

If it's the father of a famous tank that would have to be the Somua, but I don't know which tank this is...

Right, I've come back in and nobody's found the answer yet. All I can guess is ARLv39 ancestor or some connection with T1 75mm, but that's not French so I'll just go to bed. Hrumph!
