The parade, yes. They did what they could to get them into battle, but in vain ;)

    I love em all
I love the T-34 and the Panther G

The T-34 for its sloped armour, wide tracks, good range and its cost effectiveness

IMHO The Panther F-G is by far the best German tank. Its 75 mm was nearly as good as the 88, it cost nearly half as much as a Tiger (= more tanks on the field), it was less prone to break down, its tracks were narrow enough to be transported by train (unlike Tiger) and had better speed

I too love the STuGIII what a great early war weapon

Also props to the always overlooked Panzer IV for being a reliable, upgradable workhorse and for its conversions

No, no, IS-3 got to combat at the very end of the war, in the Berlin operation! I think I've seen a picture showing it in the combat.

So you should like also Hetzer. It looks almost like Jagdpanther, though much smaller.

The Hetzer is about as close to 'cute' as a tank can be!

The IS-3 didn't see actual combat in Berlin although some claimed it did. There is nothing that verifies this claim however.I have not seen any pictures of IS-3s in action during Berlin and I ould think it would be widely known.

As to the Hetzer, yep it's a nice looking little vehicle, although I wouldn't say it's beautiful looking in the same way the Jagdpanther is. I think the Jadpanzer IV L/70 is also a cool looking TD.

As Lyndon mentioned, the JS-3 didn't see any action during WWII.

Nooo! It's much less 'balanced' of look than the JagdPanther. Also its gun is less impressive, its bodywork much smaller and the lines just don't stand comparison with those of the JagdPanther.

True, the gun is offset, but little imperfections are what makes beauty...

    Compact, sleek, refined....

I've always thought that the Hetzer had quite a futuristic appearence. Not at all in style with other Panzerjäger, such as the Panzer IV/70(V), Panzerjäger 38(t) or Jagdpanther...

Yup. Mount a laser-gun on the Hetzer and it would fit right into any sci-fi movie I can think of.

They would of course need a suitable paint-job as well. With that, and a fancy weapon installed, they would fit nicely into the next Star Wars movie. I doubt that anyone not familiar with the Hetzer would think twice about it.

    :D

Why not? It's got the lines, the just-out-of-balance look, the wheels, the superstructure... Just replace the gun with one of those fancy blaster weapons or lasers and you're done! Maybe some props need to be added to the plates to make them more irregular of texture.
