With a difference! Pictures curtesy of Trackpin. Apparently this helicopter is in use with American forces in Afghanistan (101st Airbourne, possibly?)
Can someone tell me to where these pictures were taken? Who to contact in regards to the paint job? Please
Yes it is. My friend has some magazine which had an article about that helicopter. According to that article, it belongs to some ex-soviet state, Turkhmenistan or something like that. I have to ask my friend to check that to make sure which country.
Nice camo... "Look out, an AT helicopter!" "-whatcha yellin for, that's just a big bird!" I want that on my car!
This will definately put some grey hairs into the heads of model builders around the world. Trying to make decals fit would be the best way to get an ulser, and painting it freehand would probably require imidiate hospitalization afterwards
I'm starting to feel tempted. However. My Hind kit is from Revell, and I was planning to do a hand-painted 'Tiger Meet' scheme. Also, it is 1:72, which would be a serious nightmare for the falcon scheme. Plus it might take me a while to actually get time to do it. I'm off to America for a couple of weeks, etc etc. Do I sound like I'm making excuses? Should we take a vote on whether I should attempt it?
well, cold war is over so there's almost no limitation. what i find funny are those vietnam choppers. they just keep on flyiing and flying
I'm fairly sure it's russian but the chinese copied a lot of russian equipment from the period 60 to 90 which would have included the hind. I assume the chinese are designing their own stuff now and the ruskies are desperatly trying to copy them, though why I don't know. In my experience chinese built goods are rubbishly made, break very quickly and are a bugger to get out of the packet. FNG
