Poppies are not just to remember the dead of WW1 (now) but all wars and conflicts.

They shall not grow old as we that are left grow old,
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn,
At the going down of the sun, and in the morning
We will remember them......we will remember them.

On Friday last a gentleman wrote out a cheque for £50. to the Poppy Appeal, you would be surprised at the different ages that talk to us of relatives that have served and in some cases died in conflicts since 1914.
Below, hopefully! is the "Kohima" poem.

My wife has a very distant relative (still alive) who was at Kohima.

It's good to see poppies being sold and worn. It's just a small mark of respect, given to those who did more for us than we could ever imagine.
