That compartment looks quite spacey, am I wrong? And by the way, can someone please fill me up on how many Black Princes were built? I cant seem to locate that info. Thanks in advance
The Churchill was a very roomy tank, owing to it's suspension (wrap-around tracks similar to British WW1 designs, allowing the crew compartment to extend the full width of the tank at all levels). The Black Prince was, in essence, a scaled-up & improved Churchill, so I think it kept the roominess.
I believe that the roomy hull was one of the reasons the churchill was chosen as the platform for many of the Hobart Funnies.
