It was mainly the NKVD armies that dealt with Nationalist and collaborationist movements in the wake of the Red Army; UPA fought against NKVD troops, not Red Army, says SBU
I was reading some Partisan accounts over the last few years ( http://www.ww2f.com/eastern-europe/48599-tribute-jewish-partisans.html ) and there were a couple of Polish Partisans who ended up working for the NKVD in Post NAZI Poland. They both skimmed over the experiences as it did not seem to be something they much cared to recount.

" Mass night raids by several Geschwader were made on 2nd June 1943,on the tank factories and foundries in Gorki, to the east of Moscow. The crews had to fly up to five hours over enemy territory by night. The operation was led by Major General Buelowius of 1st Fliegerdivision. Five raids of this kind, each of about 100 aircraft, crippled Russian tank production at Gorki for a month or two. The chemical complex at Yaroslav, north of Moscow, suffered the same fate on the night of June 20th. "

Oil: The Lifeblood for Beleaguered Leningrad

By early 1942, Leningrad (in the far north) had already been under seige for months and getting supplies into that desperate city, particularly fuel, was difficult. But in April, the Russian Defense Committee came up with the idea of an oil pipeline under Lake Ladoga, situated to the west and north of the city.

And with a stern directive from Stalin coupled with the knowledge of the “award” for failure, work began at a feverish pace. In less than 2 months, on June 18, 1942, a tremendous technological achievement was completed and the pipeline became operational. Nearly 300 tons of fuel per day were pumped through the underwater lifeline…

The idea caught on and, by September, the Volkhov power station was using an underwater cable to send electricity to the city.

In the 30th years, Russia has produced not only a large number of tanks, but machines for processing of land – tractors, too.
After the retreat of 1941 and losses of battle tanks, the Red Army used the tractors instead of tanks many times and different places. The most famous case of their use - Defense of Odessa. Sometimes these "tanks" had no any weapons. They had only dummy guns, the fake.

After completion of the Judenaktion at Simferopol, 11th Army suddenly discovered that it was in need of watches. Manstein ordered Wöhler to find out from Ohlendorf if there were left-overs from the victims of the Simferopol massacre and to request them for his troops.Had the documents concerning this action not been preserved in the original, with Manstein´s and Wöhler´s hand-written "Yes" and their initials on the top, the obvious conclusion would be that this tale is a slander by their enemies.

Third group of photos, lower left photo - at that time it was the building of Central Committee of Communist Party of Ukrainian SSR. This bulding survived the war and belongs now to Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.

Bersaglieri and Ostfront:

Bersaglieri. The race goes on...

During the WWII, with the theater of operations widened to include Greece, Russia, and North Africa, the Corps' Colors won eight Gold Medals for Military Valour and the first Gold Medal awarded to a member of the Italian expeditionary corps in Russia (CSIR) was that conferred to the Bersagliere A.Lutri.

In the Bersaglieri National Museum there are two Roman funeral urns containing sand from El Alamein and soil from the Don to recall that respect is due even in defeat.
