I am sorry if this is an old topic that has already been debated, and if is; you can either participate in the new discussion or not . :)

What do you think is the most beautiful tank of World War 2?

True beauty stems from true function. In my mind the Panther is the most beautiful; I like the profile, sloped armor, frontally placed turret, and overall design. Please post pictures of what you think is the most beautiful tank :D

Most beautiful - T34/85. If I have to illustrate this point please check the pictures of this vehicle that have been posted in the "Tank Paintings" topic. :)

I have to agree that panther is the supermodel of the tank world. If we could stretch it a bit then I would include the M18 Hellcat as quite a looker.

When Buick came up with the name Hellcat do you think they were influenced by the WWI poster below?

Yes, a most atractive AFV during one of our walks in the garden of the the New Chancery; Herr Reichsminister Speer remarked " Ah! what an elegant gun barrel it has"... :p :p

I always thought that the T34/76 was better looking than the /85 - the /85 has a huge, bulbous turret that is way out of proportion to the hull. The /76 turret blends in nicely.

Well, I tend to think the turret and especially the barrel of the T34/76 are way too small for its bodywork, but the little one definitely does have its charm. I still prefer the big one though, because the barrel seems to be cut to fit the size of the tank exactly. Much better than the disproportionately high turret and big gun of the Panther.

If you want a tank where the gun is too small, see the KV-1.

    The T-34/76 looks about right...

    The T-44 looks very good...

    Hi,
I would like to bring forward something totally else, a tank that I really really like.
    I present you:

The Panzer III ausf. M!! 8)
I like the way it hides behind its own shurtzen and how small it is.

The Tiger looks like it will run over your trench, run over your AT gun, run over your CP, and run over you, and never stop or even get slowed down by obstacles in the process. But beautiful... :-?

Similarly, I like the sheer brutal look of the ISU-152, but I wouldn't call it beautiful...
