Split from "Worst Song Ever ?" - A topic in which Kraftwerk should never have been mentioned, I might add.

Hmm, I thought it was something like: "I am here to clean ze pool"

Is that the English version of Kraftwerks "Taschenrechner" ?

"Ich bin der musikant mit taschenrechner in der hand *piip - piip ... piong*, Ich bin der musikant mit taschenrechner in der hand *piip - piip ... piong*".

I believe they lost something in the translation. I didn“t know you were familiar with the classics btw, Roel.

Wow, Skua, I didn't know you were a pink helicopter. ;) I don't understand the rest of the lyrics though, but it doesn't get much worse than the infantile gibberish of the Schnappi song. IMHO.

I'm sorry I only know the English version of the Kraftwerk song, but yes I am familiar with most of their more famous work. You get that when people in your class like it, and play it loud, a lot. :D It still is a pretty retarded line.

I love using that word! :D

Kraftwerk's worst song IMO is "Das Modell", simply because I heard the Rammstein version first. ;)

I think that Kraftwerk's German lyrics are far superior to their English ones. The English lyrics typically makes little sense.

I think that Kraftwerk's best track is Krystallo, though their albums Kraftwerk and Kraftwerk 2 are generally good as well. If you get the chance, be sure to buy the album Organisation we well. It's not Kraftwerk as such, but it's a project by the same members.

Definately - and if you ever get to pick only one track to play, this one will outlast most others ;)

    Sounds like Euro-techno dance music

...techno techno techno techno....Let me hearya say Yeah! (or Ja)

Kraftwerk were old when I was a lad so it's weird hearing them being discussed by the jungentankers now. The best thing about Kraftwek (apart from the start of autobahn) is that anyone can sing along, no matter how bad their singing voice.

Altogether now..."she's a model and she's looking good, de da da da da da da da da daa da"
BTW Bill Bailey does an excellent Kraftwerk set in his show 'Half Troll'. V funny, on dvd now. :)

I prefer "Sie ist ein Modell und sie sieht gut aus", followed by loud guitars. :D

You should really get the Rammstein version if you can, it's a genuine  experience when compared to the old Kraftwerk song.

Haven't heard that version. Quite like 'LOS', God only knows what the lyrics are in English though!
(yes that is a subtle hint for a translation Roel) 8)

It depends, are you talking about the recent song called Los or their older song called Adios in which they keep repeating "los"?

    I will provide. :D

Los is probably best translated into 'release'...

I know. But there are two songs here that could qualify so I was just asking which one he meant.

"Los" can be translated as "go!", "release", and a number of other things related to "losing it" or "getting it started". However, in the song "Los" it is usually added to a word, where it means "without" (i.e. Nahmenlos = nameless, Schamlos = shameless, Gottlos = Godless).
