CrazyThumbs, those drawings are really good. I think you could improve them though by drawing at least the outline of the soldier as a whole before you get into cloth detail (which, by the way, is excellent). That way your dimensions will be much better and your figures will be more "united", undivisible.

I've tried that before, but I rushed it because I wanted to shade it so it didnt look as good, and on another one I spent alot of time doing the outline and when I shaded it looked horrible.
heres an ok pic where I did what you said

I do have some propotion problems though, like the one i'm working on now, the leg is way to thick, I'll keep practicing.

See, that's what I mean. The hands are way too small. Try to work more with organic shapes instead of just polygons, so that you may improve your dimensions.

As a rule of thumb, an outstretched hand reaches from the chin to the hairline.

Im only 16 so i'm not sure I could have a career as an artist ;)
I still have things to get better at and learn like Roel said.

I should take an art class in school but I took German for a fourth year instead, I have know idea why, I still dont know anything in German.
Last time I took art was in 9th grade, and i didnt do anything, played the dot game where you have to get the most boxes, and slept the whole year.

anywho, for my next drawing i'm thinking about doing a battle scene fomr Lord of the Rings, so right now i'm practising shading on armor and landscapes. Yea it'll probably take a while.

The same goes for his personal interaction with me over MSN. In a fit of rage he blocked me, and I haven't heard of him since. Progress on the Panzer Comic is therefore to be considered suspended until further notice.

Meanwhile, CrazyThumbs, would you mind if I took your unfinished drawing of the American soldier and see what it would have become in my hands?

    Here's what I got.

My point about drawing the outline before filling in the details should become apparent when you realize that I became so desynchronized with your work as I added to it that I had to erase half of the arm you had drawn to make my work fit in with yours.

    On 2 conditions:

    1) you actualy post new episodes!

    2) it does not interfere with Roel's schedule of Create-a-tank drawings!

    :D

Oh, it's just a sketch, it only took like two hours tops... ;)

What did you think of it, though?
