hmm, which calibre had the biggest gun that ever mounted on a tank (vehicle). Was it the Karl-Gerät, so called Thor, with a 60cm gun? I didn´t find a similar thread, sry for doubleposting, if. Regards, Che.
Krupp's 80cm Gustav/Dora are the largest guns put on a vehicle, that is, if you are counting railway cars. The damn gun had its own air unit attached to it! I know of one occasion where the Gustav was used (bombardment of Sevastapol), and one shell penetrated some 100 feet of earth and concrete right into a Soviet ammo dump. It goes without saying, not much was left. The Germans had planned on self propelling this gun with the P1500 (as well as 2x150mm canons), but it never left the drawing board.
Yeah it´s just mad!!!!!!!!!!!!!! hmm but I wanna know the biggest gun that ever mounted on a "normal" vehicle, sry for expressing wrong, it should be tank or soemthin´like that.
Che_Guevara Where did those drawings come from? *** Is this the biggest calibre mounted on tanks, or self-propelled gun systems in general? We need to be sure of the definitions.[/b]
