A panzer III the germans "forgot" to take with them home when they left Denmark in 1945: and now we are at it, a picture of a goliath: both stored at "Tøjhusmuseet" in Copenhagen
I dont know what that yellow thing in the backgound in the 2nd pic is....and Im not sure I want to know it..... Btw. my name is Jens, with a "s" in the end, not Jen
(Jens, I fixed your name in the quote! ) It almost looks like a tow tractor for aircraft. Or something of that ilk. Jens, is that a current photo of that PzIII, or just an old colored shot?
The source says "older picture" but its a post-WW2 pic, could be from early 90´s or so, but the source dont date it... Btw. the panzer III is a Panzer IIIN type with the short 75 mm L/24 gun
It is unfortunately not at Tøjhusmuseet anymore, but has been pulled to a storage depot somewhere, where it's msot likely rusting away. Cgrusruab
maybe stored at "Tirstrup Airfield" in a hanger, they have stored several tanks there, a Leopard 1A5 among others....
I think you had your hand a bit too far to the left when you typed this... I haven't seen a Panzer III N without Schürtzen though, these didn't come standard?
Nah, it's just my Russian alias The Pz.Kpfw.III Ausf.N in question was used by the Danish army aspart of Minenkommando Dänemark, in an effort to clear up the German mines in Denmark.
The pic of the panzer III could be from the 1970´s, as said the source dont date it.... A thing I really miss is tanks museum here in Denmark with all the types of tanks the danish army has used through time, I hope that the "Tøjhusmuseet", which is the museum for danish milltary history, will make one, they have many tanks stored, but as many things here in life it all come down to the money, or the lack of it, in the end...
isnt that yellow thingy somekind of radio controlled bomb or something like that, i think i saw a video where they destroyed russian tank with this.
Patton Denmark has never had any aircraft carriers, so that is doubtful mooner He doesn't mean the Leichter Ladungsträger Sd.-Kfz. 303, but rather the car in the background. Christian
Tøjhusmuseet is a museum of weapons used in Denmark, and they don't have neither the money or the will to exhibit Danish vehicles, let alone foreign. Christian
