    Hi Gunter_Viezenz
Awesome picture of that old warrior !
Do you know the story of these WW II veterans ? How did they end up in Iraq ? were they just museum pieces/memorials or were they ever used operationally against the coalition ?
This one show sign of battle-damage http://image14.webshots.com/14/2/20/72/341622072xIqigZ_fs.jpg
I wonder if it was used as a stationary pill-box or just shot-up for 'fun' ?

No i dont know the story of the tank sorry. I got that picture from a site one of the members of the forums posted in a thread.

    http://primeportal.net/home.htm

but you know what yopu could do is try to find the person who sent in that photo and ask them, because the site tells you who submitted the pictures in. And the tank shows no identification numbers.

It looks like they are just parked somewhere - possibly as a museum display?
The camoflaged Churchill seems to have been there a while - no grass underneith it, but grass growing over the tracks.

    Hi Ricky

I think you're right, they are probably just museum pieces. But imagine some foolhardy guerila's fixing an old tank fr a suicide mission ! Maybe an idea for a Hollywood production ?

I remember an old 'Commando' comic where the French Resistance fixed up an old British 'male' WW1 tank for a mission! :D
