Wonderful pics there, JCalhoun! Just great. I really like the 'skeeter' and the KV-2, I never knew there actually were models of that huge monster. Btw, I deleted the three previous posts with the same pics, I hope you agree & don't mind...
Ooops, my bad. Thanks for catching them. The KV-2 is a Russian or Ukranian kit. I think the brand is PST or something like that. Fairly good kit but the tracks were a real pain. Decals also sucked. That's why it has a hand painted 3 on it in the best Russian style I could do.
PST does wonderful models of various Russian AFVs you won't see in other brands, but their decals are a real downside most of the time. They have all, and I mean all versions of the KV, from the KV-1A to the KV-85.
Very nice indeed. And you did a great job on the 3 there! Honestly! As some have expected for a long, long while, and for the others it will be a surprise, but I finally got the pictures of my Stummel online now. So, eh, here you go! And enjoy.. As you can see in picture "stummelback.jpg"(that's the second from the buttom up) I made some mistakes; the doors don't fit the fuselage properly and I painted the roadparts of the tracks accidentally :S But I'd like to remind you all that this is 1/72 scale!
Nice half-track. What brand is it? Here is my latest. It's a M-10 tank destroyer platoon for the WW2 game Flames of War. The models are by Battlefront, the parent company of the game. Scale is 15mm.
Great models. A bit of advice for PanzerProfile: First paint tracks and wheels with basic colour (gun metall/rubber) and than use pastel (dry pastels) chalk powder mixed with water for aging then drybrush edges of tracks with silver. That way you will get dusty apearence. Or if you want to simplyfie painting tracks/tires: first paint them with dark earth, than drybrush with gunemtal/rubber and edges of tracks with silver.
Thanks for the advice on wheathering those tracks guys, that will be very helpful with my next model. The brand was Hasegawa, btw.
Here are pictures of some of my models. All are in 1/72 scale. (Please click on the thumbnail to see larger pictures) Tiger I mid production LeFH 105 (lot's of scratch building done  ) BM 13 Katyusha T-34/85 model 1945 (I think) Jagdpanzer IV L/48 And here is a porsche king tiger in progress
Tiger of Kursk, I have a question: how did you make this tiger with the snow and all? I really wonder how one can make that snow and whitewash thingy. I'd really like to know cause I'm up to a similar challenge wih a Nashorn I will start working on. Can you please help me? Thanks in advance! PP
Hey Panzer.I would use a thinned down water based white paint for a white wash effect. With white-wash,sometimes a shitty paint job looks the most realistic.I would also recommend using a small brush for a white-wash look.
Hi PanzerProfile, The tiger is not whitwashed. It is simply in a pazer yellow colour . I think it is the light. As for the mud/snow I simply used flour! What you do is apply some plastic glue to the area you what to put snow/mud on, then randomly sprinkle on some flour. At first the flour might look slurry and nothing like snow/mud, don't do anything to it.simpily wait. After a while when the glue is dried, you got instant snow/mud.
Hey Tom You can go to my webpage to see the pictures http://mysite.wanadoo-members.co.uk/kwu Only the German Gallery and Work Bench are working at the moment and I am still working on the other sections
