Hello, as some of you may know, my biggest interest in history is that of the ancients. I collect ancient coins(will trade for German/repro gear), and am a history buff on ancient history, especially the Romans. Here is my Roman Emperors quiz. I will number down a question for each emperor, and then you have to guess the emperor. Once all have been guessed, I will post a new series. Here we go!
    THE CAESARS
    1) I am the first official "emperor" of Rome, my reign was 27 B.C.-14 A.D. I am related to Julius Caesar.= Augustus!
    2) My face is supposedly on the coin that Jesus held when he said, "Render unto Caesar what is Caesar's."=Tiberius!
    3) I am probably one of the most-known emperors. I had an affair with my sister, I made my horse Consul, I dressed like a woman. There is an X-movie about me.=Caligula
    4) I stuttered, drooled, limped, and was shunned by society until I was declared emperor.=Claudius!
    5) I get a bad rep from Christians because I tortured them. Some people believe I lit Rome on fire an blamed Christians. I kicked my pregnant wife in the stomach and killed her. I also tried to kill my mother.=Nero!
    6) I'm an old man who ruled for a few months. I had gout. I'm also the first in the series of the "year of 4 emperors".=Galba!
    7) I am the second of the year of 4 emperors, I was in my 30's when I was killed.=Otho!
    8) am third in the year of 4 emperors, I was also fairly old.=Vitellius!
    9) Final emperor in the year of 4 emperors, but I went on to rule for 10 more years. I started the Coliseum, and had two sons who became emperor also.=Vespasian!
    10) I finished the Coliseum, but was faced by the outbreak of plague and the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius. I am #9's son.=Titus!
    11) I am also one of #9's sons, I was mischievous, unlike my brother.=Domitian!(answered through MSN messenger)

P.S. if you are interested in buying/trading for any coins, PM me

Blast! Why couldn't you have thrown this up a couple of weeks ago? I was watching a program on Roman engineering, and I probably would have been able to answer more than 2!!!

    3. Caligula, and a shocking movie it was! (Yes, Roxy, shocking!)
    5. Nero
    6. Claudius?

I'm glad the citizenry was so angry at Nero, and buried his massive house! That was amazing to look at!

    Octavianus Augustus.
Julius Caesar? It's either him or Augustus, since there were no other Emperors before Jesus was born.

mulitple sources say they both ruled in 193, so either there was a joint rule or one revolted and was declared emperor and then they fought(much like a civil war.) there were civil wars at this time.
