more tommy pics. I stand back in amazement Dave! How can a young lad like you afford a in-active (I hope) Bren? Any way a few more pics for you, glad you like em JC.
Merlin & panzermehaniker - wow, thanks! COAM2006061.jpeg - a few posts up - has a rather restricted view of one...
vic pic piat I have managed to find a PIAT pic from the Tigers lads, bear in mind all of their equipment is privately owned and is a very expensive hobby. One of their members is in the Royal Air Force and at the present time is serving in IRAQ, no, he doesn't manage to get home for the week-ends! but makes regular postings to their web site. "OH, You Piat Posing Person!"
Wonderful pictures, merlin. As far as I can tell, some of them really portray soldiers at work, as opposed to reenactors reenacting, which is quite an accomplishment. Send them my best wishes if you can!
re-enact Thank you Roel, I'll pass on your remarks, the next big event is at the GCR (Great Central Railway) at Loughborough on June 9/10/11th, this is a fantastic 40's weekend with all the gear, plus the trains of the GCR. People come country wide dressed in WW2 clothes, evacuees, MP's, Germans, vehicles, buy and sell WW2 clothes, uniforms etc. I'm sure that there'll be some good photos, as you rightly comment Roel they do look like action pics and not 'Posers', and as you can see they are not 'fine weather' soldiers.
Thanks Merlin. Do you by chance have a color picture of the PIAT? I need it for research material for a WW2 Brit force I will be building in the near future. If you don't want to post it, you can e-mail it to me.
