My wife & I are off in the early hours of Tuesday morning, on a trip to Barcelona. She has always wanted to visit the city. It is a belated 20th wedding anniversary present. We shall be back on Saturday. So no posts from me until then. (Rest of forum breathes a sigh of relief! )
If you still manage to read this post before leaving (I believr you will): do you plan to visit Camp Nou? If you are reading this after returning home: have you visited Camp Nou? And have a very nice trip.
It is a possibilty, but we don't have very many definate plans. We have heard that the blue & red tourist bus routes are very good, and quite cheap. They should enable us to sample all the delights, and see all the sights. Thank you for your good wishes.
I'm jealous.....I want to go to Barcelona. My brother gets a freebie every year when he takes his college class there. He works at St Martins College of Art and Design, he always comes back with tales of tapas bars etc.....not fair, I want to go, I want to see Gaudis work...humph! Sorry David, have a great time!
This may be too late for you to see, but the Montjuic military museum is definitely worth a visit. You can persuade your wife it's worth it because you get the best view of Barcelona from the hilltop it's situated on Tony Williams: Military gun and ammunition website and discussion forum
It was an outstanding trip. Too many places to go, too many things to see, for one 4 day trip. We plan to return, perhaps for our 25th wedding anniversary (If Becky can put up with me for another 4 years!) and combine it with a trip to Montserrat for a couple of days, to do some walking in the mountains. I got a taste for it a couple of years ago, and want to go back. I have a very big e-mail describing our trip, which i am going to send to Abi (our daughter, who is away herself for 3 months). If anyone is genuinely interested, I could post it here as well.
I still haven't seen the pictures made when I was in Barcelona... So I'd be happy to see yours instead!
