how ironic...merlin hates the woofen ss,and any other effen ss...lol....btw,merlin ,i just read a novel (iron stallions ,max hennesy) about brit tankers in the western desert...dodgeing and weaving towards panzers to get close enough to punch a hole with their 37mm equipped stuart honeys.....any truth to this lore heard spoken of in brit tanker circles?...)

Does this mean that Merlin wins twice? Or is it a 2-line caption?

For what it's worth, that photo I will print off, with both of those lines. That's a classic...

    Off Topic

That book is the 3rd of a trilogy that starts in the Boer war. Max Hennesy was the pseudonym used by the author John Harris and he also used it to write 2 other trilogies, one naval & one air. All good yarns :D

Sorry to stray of topic, but when I get a bone in my teeth I just have to chew it. ;)

I have a new title for the pic: "Saving German shepard Blondi".

Staring: Bruno Ganz as the Führer, Nicole Kidman as Eva Braun, Robert deNiro as count Ciano, Tom Hanks as leutenant Fritz, Matt damon as sergant Hans, Sean Connery as Marshall Pavlov, Lassie as Blondi, Vin Diesel as the tank mechanic (obviouslly since the tank uses diesel), the Russian army as the russian army

And Tom cruise as the cruise control driver :D

In a world so empty and threatning, they crossed the red line and went on to do the most difficult mission of all: "Saving German shepard blondi"
a quest that brought them from Berlin to Stalingrad and back again while fighting of the Russian army

Got carried away a bit but is there any chance that Steven Spielberg wants to make this movie? :smok:

Now that's funny. No more bad puns! Absurdity is the way to go! :D

Sean Connery, speaking English with a Russian Scottish accent:
"We have got to catch that dog. The fate of the motherland depends on it."
