75mm gun of Staghound III?

    Was the gun used in the armoured car Staghound III the British OQF 75mm or one of the american 75mm guns?

    It's a Crusader III turret with the Ordanance QF75mm gun.

    Thanks for your replies. It makes sense that it was the British gun.

    Was it a low pressure gun? Seems to me that the vehicle would flip if fired with the turret traversed over the sides.

    I think it was comparable to the US 75mm M3.

    i may seem stupid
    but a 75mm gun on a armoured car is a bit overkill

    Even so, it looks pretty cool!

    The official British clasification for armoured cars were originally "Tank, Light (Wheeled)", which makes sense when you look at some of them.
