    Merry Christmas everyone!

Remember, this has nothing at all to do with Christianity! We don't even really know when Jesus was born! :D

Maybe, but there are those who claim that if you read the Bible very carefully, specifically the portion of the Gospel of Luke dealing with His birth, and do some research and calculation, then the exact date can be reasoned out. I don't think the exact date matters; the fact that He was born is enough for me. ;)

Santa is a hoax? No way! I hate to break it to you, Kaiser, but NORAD was tracking Santa across North America! Please do not say I'm so young and naive that I actually believe in Santa or something.

That's fair, but we should sober up and start calling the festivity Winter Solstice again, or the Birth of the Sun, or of Mithras... ;)

I don't really care what people call it. It's a concept nowadays, not a religious festival. Even atheist societies have Christmas banquets, so I don't see why anyone else should have a problem with that name.

Honestly I have no problem with the celebration of Christmas whatever people want to think it means. Like you say, it's a symbol, or a concept, not the celebration of a certain historical fact. It's a holiday and people should enjoy it in the way they prefer.

On the other hand, I am a pedant, hence my comments... :D

Then how do explain the fact that NORAD had sucessfully identified Santa as Santa, not some Chinese spy plane. If it were a spy plane or something, the military would have definetly sent fighters up to intercept.
