Here is one to get your teeth into. What would happen if Germany went Communist in 1933, not Nazi? But how could it happen, I hear you ask? Well, imagine if some observant police officer happened to catch somebody who was trying to burn down the Reichstag. Imagine if that person happened to be a known Nazi with connections, or maybe somebody's staff member, like Goering's driver for example (Goering has long been suspected of having a hand in the cause of the fire). Nazi politicians are either arrested, prevented from standing, or simply take a huge PR hit (as historically happened to the Communists), and their votes split off to other parties. The Communists, now that they are not blamed for the fire and banned as in Real Life, take enough of the vote to either win, or to do what the Nazis did and win by forming a joint Government with another Party. So, what would happen to world politics? Free your creative imaginations...
World War Two would not have occured... Maybe the Atom Bomb wouldn't be developed... But the concept of Human Rights would not exist as it does today...
Would Communist Germany and Communist Russia join forces, and start to gobble up Eastern Europe? Would the apparent rise of world Communism cause nations like France to (who had strong Communist political movements) to be more likely to become communist? Would nations like Britain, America and Italy (to name three Capitalist and/or Imperialist nations) feel threatened by the rise of Communism, and do something about it?
Actualy italy got strong comunist mowments in that time i think, and many otther countyr got strong comunist partyes. What most ppl dont know ,communism is great thing, with alot rights for common man,but it was misused for totalitarism, what whas wrong. If somebody from u guys read Engels and Marks,u know what i mean.Yugoslavia got, more less good comunism state, but more socialism then real communism, with high life standard, good pays, ewerything was free, only thing was one party rule system.
I think there still would of been a ww2. But since the Germans wouldn't have that backing as them being supermen I dont think the war would've been as great or bloody as ww2, since most of the death came on the Eastern front.
Stalin and Hitler had some kain of pact, but hitler broke it and attacked russia.I dont think that would heapened that Germany and Ussr was bouth comunist country's.Worst possible scenario-USSR and Germany as axis, hard tome for any otther country, including Gb.
Would germany have been able to re arm itslef ? Im thinking that they wouldnt have been able to get a lot of out side help from surrounding countries. Would the Ussr subsidized their re armament ? Also, How would all this affect the spanish civil war ?
Let's not forget about Japan. They were still expanding and taking territory by force. There still would have been a war in the Pacific.
Well, the Spanish Civil War would have been interesting. Italy would still have aided the Nationalists, the USSR would still have aided the Communists. The question is whether the Natonalists would still win without the German help. Actually, the bigger question is would the international community be more likely to get involved in the conflict to stop Communism spreading? Would we simply end up with a Cold War that begins in the 1930s, rather than the 1940s, and with most of WW2 missed out? Obviously, the Pacific War still happens, but with America and the various European nations not being distracted by a European war, it would be likely to be over much quicker.
Or it would not have happned, since the japs took the fact that europe was occupied with their own war to attack
