Basicly those are scenes from TV series Shtrafbat (penal battalion) that was filmed in 2004. Friend of my got all 11 parts from e-mule. Haven't seen it yet he said that i will get a copy within a month. Something about the series (lenghty critic): http://www.kinokultura.com/2006/13r-strafbat.shtml BTW i already pinned the link to the video here: http://www.fun-online.sk/forum/viewtopi ... light=rota
Got the series. Realy good. A realy grim part of the war. It deals with one penal battalion. Commander was captured at the beggining and shot by trhe germans and few of soviet soldiers that changed sides. He survives and returns to the unit where he is arrested and introgated by NKVD as traitor (as per order 227). He is put in command of penal regiment. It's 11 parts around 45 minutes each. It deals more with life in the unit not so much with action 8othewise they could finish the series in 1st part). It looks like low budget but is filmed OK and combat actions (at least 1 per part) are filmed OK. Soldiers are not young, fit, clean and good looking like in western war movies. Some are old (realy old-veterans of the civil war), ugly (real crimilal faces) but all are dirty unshaven... I find it excellent. If you want a quick look (OK not realy quick with all 11 parts) at the soviet side of the war.
Russian is easy too learn, just have to take your time and learn it properly other wise you'll fail , and Knowledge isn't power until you make something that makes you powerful.
Here is a short part oflast part of the series: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-0FsoebFrqM Basicly shtrafniki find abandoned german suply dump in noman's land and soldiers from both sides are emtiying it on their own. In the end their commisar finds out about it and makes them attack so he will claim the honour of capturing it but all die in attempt.
Dont the russians have a different alphabet. When canada plays their hockey teams there's backwards R'x and conjoined P's and the such on team logos
You are not mistaken. :smok: Acctualy it is not so difficoult to learn capital printed letters (mostly used in printing and the net).
