I cant seem to find any pictures or documents about the The Fallschirmjäger, All I know is the basics and that there a German Airborne unit. dropped on Crete. and that that major opperations ended after that i believe and they became just adavanced ground units.

What surprises many people (and certainly surprised me when I discovered it) was that the German paratroopers were not in the German Army, but in the Luftwaffe. I also believe that a lot of the German losses in the assault on Crete were due to the fact that the fallschirmjager jumped in essentially unarmed, with their weapons and other equipment being dropped separately in canisters. Many of these canisters wound up in British hands, making the Germans easy targets after they landed.
