    Yawn ....

It's dull here today - think I'll check that wardrobe out again.

    :(

Not arf ! I'll be out in a very crowded pub for that one - fairytale ending required too.

0 - 3 vs AC Milan required a fairytale ending!

0 - 1 vs Chelsea only requires a Bog standard Anfield clean sheet & little good fortune.

My wife is L.F.C's barometer; and she feels confident, so that is a good sign.

On a sour note, my beloved Leeds were relegated yesterday. (Barring a mathmatical fairytale ending anyway!)

Hope this has cheered up your quiet Sunday!

Nothing to do with Tuesday but.....
    What livened up my Sunday?
At 19.30 a DC3 Dacota flew over my house, it sounded great, probably returning to Atlantique Air at Coventry Air Port.

My parents saw an old Lancaster fly overhead when they were on the beach today. It's in the Netherlands for the remembrance ceremony of a food drop that took place here during the war. Unfortunately I was not with them... :(

    Roel.

    That was really something!!!!! :D

Depending on who you believe, there are only between 1 & 3 :-? left, that can take to the air.

Personally, I think that the sound of a Rolls Royce Merlin engined Spitfire takes some beating. :D It is so distinctive.

2 Flying AFAIK, one of which is in Canada. I was lucky enough to have the BoB Memorial flight fly directly over my house one day, Lanc, Spit MkII and Hurri MkX. We have a local Mustang who regularly takes to the skies in the summer too (Big Beautiful Doll).

There are probably more Lancasters that can fly and are being maintained in flying condition in museums but which do not fly.

Last year, I was mucking about the yard, when I heard a strange noise coming from above. Now, due to the large park behind my house, as well as the approach pattern to the local airport, there's lots of aerial activity visible from our yard. This one sounded somehow different. I looked skyward to discern the source.

'Twas a P-51, with invasion markings! I was stunned! No airshows in the area, just the owner out for a spin. I honestly believe he noticed me waving, because he came back a few minutes after he had zoomed out of sight. Would that I had my camera to hand...

I was doing some yard work last year when an olive drab C-47 flew past with full invasion stripes.I started yelling for Boba to bring the camera.I scared the shit outta her.She had no idea what I was yelling about.
A few weeks ago while I was sleeping,my cousin called to tell me an Airbus A380 was winging around Chicago.I flew out of bed all serious like, looking for my clothes.Scared her ass again. She thought something seriously bad had happened to get me out of bed so fast.
