    Hey lads,

which one is the best camouflage (pattern and/or color) battledress. Considering the different geographical attributes of the nature, the question would be about the most all-around talent. (or if you like a classification depended to the special climate zone)
I would vote for olive as color, don´t have any experience with camouflaging but I guess it would be the best in nearly every climate zone, even on urban terrain, while other "real" camouflage battledresses would be good (better as olive) in a special zone, but quite eye-catching in another zone
And how effective is the more or less new american MARPAT

btw, where is the poll function ?

    Regards,
    Che.

The MARPAT camo is rather good. It looks odd until you see it ( or don't see it ;) ) in field use.

hmm, guess you´re right but could a olive battledress achieve the same ? It´s still impressive but could not beat the olive one as allround talent^^

I always liked the approach to camouflage in the Napoleonic era...

Dress your absolutely enormous army up in bright scarlet and 2-foot-tall bearskin hats... The purpose of which is to intimidate the enemy, not conceal yourself from him...
