halloween Blaster. what makes you think CSP was insulting anyone? I'm intrigued to know what he wrote. I think you're getting a little paranoid?
Re: halloween Perhaps I'm mistaken, but anything edited by a mod is inappropriate, IMO. Otherwise, why would it by edited?
halloween Tell you what I'll do Blaster, I'll get CSP to PM it to me and then perhaps depending how old you are (I don't PM juniors) maybe I'll forward it to you, how's that suit you? Don't you worry, it was probably something not quite 'PC' that the 'Mods' had to remove because it is so easy to upset someone somewhere sometimes!
I had a couple costumes since I had a youth meeting the night before....I went as a badly done 'Neo'....shade and a trenchcoat Did 'Hank Yarbo' from the canadian show 'Corner Gas' and a random assassin/covert commando.......we had like 12 kids come out all night.....
Re: halloween The "juniors" part is somewhat upsetting but I'll ignore it. It's nothing, I guess. Sure, that'll be fine.
halloween You are terribly thin skinned Blaster, what I try to point out that in this day and age of 'PC', moderators have to be extremely careful. I feel that you have brought most of this onto yourself, you have told so many lies how can anyone believe you? I don't PM children, you told us that you were 10 years and in school, next you said you were eleven, then you said you'd made that up! So, until I have some idea how old you really are I'll take it that you are under 16 and a junior. Great Grandad Merlin! aka Brian.S711,aka Trackpin, aka Tankpark, aka Barce Bandit, usw, depending on which Web Site you're looking at, my favourite at the moment is 'ARRSE' (ARmy Rumour SErvice.) and if you really want to get insulted try that!
Moderation is done when something that breaches rules (or is just likely to be seen as inflammatory) is posted. And not just things about Blaster. We remove them to prevent trouble, so please don't try to guess what they were, as that defeats the entire point of Moderation.
Re: halloween CSP told me to respect you, but I'm finding it rather hard right now. I may be thin-skinned, but it somehow seems to me that you quite enjoy teasing 'juniors'. I don't know if it's how you get your kicks or something. Furthermore, some members in this forum other than me are under 16 and by your criteria, a junior. But none of them have ever received as much teasing from you as I do. It does feel to me that I'm a subordinate, and that others are free to tease me as they please. But when I talk back, it somehow becomes OK for some other member to tell me off, using swears and insults, none of which I use. But I am simply trying to make a stand for my rights (yes, I have rights as well as you), and you may be older and more experienced, Merlin, but I don't see how that justifies you putting me down all the time. Often I get the feeling that you think you're better than me.
Blaster, you're oversensitive. That brings most of the criticism on you. Its as if even the slightest article or critique of what you say opens the flood gates. Blaster, respect merlin because if it wasnt for people like him you wouldnt have the right to say whats on your mind
the main problem of the new generation is that they do not respect the elders, like we used to do when we where young
Whatever No, Blaster, that's alright young sir, you carry on, but please, just tell us how old you really are? Commando gets his share of stick but doesn't make a fuss, takes it in good part, and look at Dave, I used to pull his leg something shocking but look at him now, a mature member of our little community. Have you been on your trip to Korea yet you told us of? or was that stretching it a little as well? So, how old are you? By the way, on the Army webs this is known as 'banter'. "Beam me up Spotty".
To all of you who wish to submit a complaint about yout treatment on these forums, please comply with the formalities and fill out this form Thank you
Re: Whatever Fine, fine, I'll take it and be quiet while doing it. However, due to reconsiderations about web safety I have decided not to reveal my exact age. But you can consider me under 16, that's for sure. My Korea trip only lasted 3 days, but thatw as because my parents went to see an old friend. Then we cruised on the Han River in Seoul. Then we went back to China.
Put another way Blaster: I've got boots in my closet older than you... If you live long enough, you'll find yourself in the same "shoes" as many of us older fellers. No point in being overly sensitive on the subject. Many of us have "lived" through the periods of time you find yourself "reading" about. One day you-too will be joining the "Old Farts Association... and will find yourself missing those glory-days of being a youngster... and full of piss and vinegar. When I was young, I wanted desperately to be older and full of experience. Now that I'm middle-aged, I wish I was a young-pup once again. Enjoy each and every day Blaster. You'll grow old soon enough. Tim
