    90 years ago...The first successful use of tanks in a combined arms operation, the British attack demonstrated that the Hindenburg Line could be penetrated, while the German counter attack showed the value of new infantry tactics that would later be part of the Kaiserschlacht. Liddell Hart called the battle "one of the landmarks in the history of warfare, the dawn of a new epoch."

    ...and the last station for nearly 100.000 anglo-german soldiers, I salute the Fallen and regret that so many people had to die in the name of the progress
    and on the behalf of the bloody politians :cry:

    A big celebratory day for the few Royal Tank Regiments that are left.,
    the 'Tanks' Remembrance Parade and Service was last Sunday.

    For some reason the Memorial picture sometimes does not appear so I'm posting again!
    I think the ghosts of the dead Tankies are messing about!
    The picture does not appear until I click reply??? Try it!

    Still not there till I click reply??So try another!!
    I appear to have a problem on this thread, I post picture OK,I leave the thread but when i return the pic is missing until I clikck reply.
    I notice that on top right of my post next to 'Quote'&'Edit' there is a 'boxed X' that is not on any of my other pictured posts! Help please.
