in this topic, i`ll post Funny & Interesting sentences about Farsi language ...

i dont` know anyone here knows/understand Farsi or not...

So, i try to write a translit and if possible, translation.

داشتم می رفتم برم دیدم گرفت نشست گفتم بذار بپرسم بیبینم میاد نیمیاد دیدم میگه نمیخوام بیام بذار برم بگیرم بخوابم...

for those, who want to know what is this, it`s a persian Sentences that contains 20 Verbs and nothing more !!!

 

My funny Farsi story... My older sister met and was dating a man who spoke Farsi. He spoke decent English but had only been in the U.S. a couple years. They were in college together and she had come home for the holidays. I answered the home phone. (This was in the 1980's so cell phones weren't the norm yet.) He and I were exchanging pleasantries. He asked what I was doing. I replied, "eating popcorn." He broke out laughing and asked, "WHAT?!!!" He asked me several times and I kept repeating eating popcorn. He died laughing every time. I was so confused until he explained, "In my language, you said you were eating elephant farts." They married after graduating college and are still together and I still eat elephant farts.

finally, did you learn Farsi or not ???

and what about your sister ??? can she speak like a Native ???

 

If I am not mistaken ganooky means crazy and barf means snow.

My sister does know a little Farsi. I just know how to say elephant farts. Lol

For Barf, you said correct. but i don`t know what is your 1st word, it could be Kurdish, Luri or other Accents .

Crazy in Farsi means: Divaneh. دیوانه

 

it does not have a Direct or common Tranmslation in EN, so it`s tranlation should be something like this:

Dashtam miraftam beram didam gereft neshest goftam bezar beporsam bebinam miad nemiad didam migeh nemikham biam bezar beram begiram bekhabam !!!

Dashtam miraftam : i was going (with someone),

didam gereft neshest : (Suddenly) i saw him/her Sat down.

goftam bezar beporsam bebinam miad nemiad : i said (to myself) : i go and ask him/her , will he/she come with me or not ???

idam migeh nemikham biam : he/she answered : i won`t come with you.

bezar beram begiram bekhabam : (Just) Let me to go to home and Sleep !!!

i was going (with someone), (Suddenly) i saw him/her Sat down. i said (to myself) : i go and ask him/her , will he/she come with me or not ??? he/she answered : i won`t come with you. (Just) Let me to go to home and Sleep !!!
